Block722 was founded in 2009 by Sotiris Tsergas and Katja Margaritoglou and runs concept to construction in-house, across architecture, interiors and furniture. O Lofos in Crete — a 280 square metre private house on a slope with its own furniture collection — is the published proof of the full commission.
Why the interiors hire is the one to think about
Most of what is bought on this coast at this level is either an existing house or a developer shell. In both cases the architecture is settled and the interior is the entire remaining decision.
It is also where the money quietly goes. Specifying a house is a conversation about form; specifying its interior is a conversation about a hundred materials, and the second one takes longer.
The honest limit
There is no Vouliagmeni, Glyfada or Kavouri project on their public list. We are not inventing one. What is there is Attica work — Kifisia Project 12, two duplexes inserted into an existing concrete shell — and a full private house in Crete.
