Athens offers International Baccalaureate, British and American curricula, plus Greek private schools. The question is not which school is best. It is which university system your children are heading towards in a decade. Switching curriculum mid-secondary is genuinely damaging, and it is the mistake that families in transition make most often.

Places are the constraint, and the timeline is longer than you think
The strong international schools operate waiting lists and admission cycles that do not accommodate a family arriving in March. Apply before you buy. Several households have chosen a neighbourhood for a school that then had no place in the relevant year group.

School run traffic on the coastal road is the practical fact that quietly determines quality of life on this coastline. Twelve kilometres can be twenty minutes or fifty. Drive the route at 8am on a Tuesday in term time before you commit to an address.
