Delta

Restaurant, two Michelin stars · Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, Kallithea

The only two-star restaurant in Greece, and the closest serious kitchen in Athens to the Riviera. Seventeen minutes from Elliniko in a straight line and not much more by road.

The dining room at Delta: dark upholstered chairs and low tables under a glazed wall, the city beyond.

Commercial relationship

None. LivingTheta has no commercial relationship with Delta and receives nothing from it.

The stars

Delta sits inside the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre on Syngrou, under Georgios Papazacharias and Thanos Feskos. It holds two Michelin stars — the only restaurant in Greece that does — and a Green Star for sustainable practice.

Why a Riviera household should have it on the list

Because it is close. Of every kitchen in Athens with a star, this is the one nearest to the southern coast: roughly seven kilometres from Elliniko in a straight line, and the road follows the same axis rather than crossing the city.

That matters more than it sounds. The two starred rooms actually on this coast are a short list, and one of them shuts for the winter. Delta does not.

The date on the stars

They were awarded in the 2024 selection. There was no separate Athens selection in 2025 while Michelin prepared the nationwide expansion, and the combined Greek guide has not yet appeared. Nobody in Athens currently holds a 2026 star, whatever a listicle says.

One two-star restaurant in the country, and it is seven kilometres from the old airport.

We have not eaten here. When someone has, the visit goes at the top of this page, and until then this file tells you what the restaurant is rather than whether it is good.

A table, and the right one

We do not run a booking service. We do know which rooms are worth a Tuesday, who is cooking rather than plating, and which kitchens will send someone to your house. Ask and we will tell you what we would do.
