Dolce&Gabbana Casa carries furniture, furnishing accessories and tableware, and it is the only tenant on this promenade selling to the house rather than to the person walking past.
What a homeware shop on a quay tells you
Yachts do not buy dining sets. A homeware store in a marina is a bet that a meaningful share of the footfall lives within fifteen minutes and has recently bought a house that needs furnishing — which is exactly the arithmetic set out in the pillar file.
On fit: the Casa aesthetic is Sicilian and emphatic, all maiolica and pattern, while Riviera interiors here tend to the opposite. That contrast can be excellent in one room and exhausting across a house — a decision worth taking slowly, as is everything about specifying a house on this coast.
