The number that matters

Two and a half kilometres from Vouliagmeni. Five and a half from Glyfada. That is a school run measured in minutes rather than in a motorway, and the piece on why the school decides the address explains what that is worth over a decade.

Greek school, international exit

The Diploma Programme is the point most families miss when they write this school off as the local option. It is the same qualification offered at the International School of Athens and Campion, and universities in the UK, the US and Europe read it identically wherever it was taken.

So a child educated eight minutes from Kavouri can leave with the same exit document as a child driven to Kifissia and back for twelve years. That is not a small finding, and almost nobody on this coast states it.

What it costs you

Ten years of Greek. Everything below sixth form is the Greek curriculum in Greek, and a child arriving at eleven with no Greek is arriving somewhere genuinely difficult. Arriving at five is a different proposition entirely.

If English-medium from the start is the requirement, St Lawrence at Koropi and Verita on the coast itself are the near options, and everything else is north.

And the name

There is a second school with the Geitonas name — Costeas-Geitonas at Pallini, from the same 1973 founding, on the other side of Attica and now under international ownership. They are routinely confused. Check which one an adviser means.
