Karkalis has been making jewellery for around forty years and holds a unit on the marina promenade. The work is handmade: K18 gold with diamonds, pearls and precious stones, and a sterling silver line with precious and semi-precious gems.
A maker rather than a stockist
Most jewellery on this coast is bought from a house that designed it somewhere else. A workshop that designs and makes its own pieces is a different transaction — one-off work, and a conversation about what you actually want rather than a choice from a case.
That is also how high jewellery is genuinely bought at the top of the market, which makes this the closest thing on the promenade to that process at an accessible scale.
