The rooftop question

An Athens rooftop with that view is exactly what a seafront table is on the Riviera: a real pleasure on the right evening and a premium you pay whether or not it is itemised. The tells we use to read a coastal restaurant transfer to the city without modification.

And it holds no Michelin star. That is not a verdict — most good restaurants in any city do not — but it is the sort of thing a list of ten “fine dining” rooms lets a reader assume, and we would rather print it.

We have not eaten here. If someone from the desk does, the visit and what they thought of it go at the top of this page.

We do not run a booking service. We do know which rooms are worth a Tuesday, who is cooking rather than plating, and which kitchens will send someone to your house. Ask and we will tell you what we would do.
