The star
Awarded in the 2024 selection. There was no separate Athens selection in 2025; the combined Greece guide is due in the second half of 2026.

Tudor Hall occupies the seventh floor of the King George on Syntagma, with a terrace facing the Acropolis across the square. Asterios Koustoudis oversees the kitchen with Nikos Livadias, the cooking is Mediterranean with French technique, and the restaurant holds one Michelin star.

The formal option

Almost everything else on this list is a garden, a courtyard or a house. This is a hotel dining room of the old kind — full service, classical register, and a room that assumes you have dressed for it.

That makes it the specific answer to a specific question: where do you take a dinner that is partly business. The people who advise a household on this coast mostly work within a few streets of this address, which is not an accident.

And the usual caution

A seventh floor with that view carries a premium, in Athens exactly as on the Riviera. The star says the kitchen is doing more than trading on it; we have not eaten here and cannot confirm it ourselves.

The star dates from the 2024 selection, as all standing Athens stars do.

A table, and the right one

We do not run a booking service. We do know which rooms are worth a Tuesday, who is cooking rather than plating, and which kitchens will send someone to your house. Ask and we will tell you what we would do.

  • 01 A human reads it. Always.
  • 02 We name names, and we say why.
  • 03 Any commercial relationship is disclosed up front.
  • 04 Nothing you send us is sold to anyone.

Where we earn a referral fee we say so on the page it appears. Nothing in the editorial rankings is for sale. Read the charter.
