HealthSpot Glyfada is the Hellenic Healthcare Group’s outpost on this coast, on Vouliagmenis Avenue: bloods, MRI and CT, digital mammography, cardiology, an endoscopy unit, gynaecology, check-ups and homecare, from seven in the morning.
Why the ownership matters
HHG also owns Hygeia, Mitera and Metropolitan. An image taken here is inside the same organisation as the hospital that would admit you, which removes the most tedious part of using private medicine in a new country — carrying your own records between institutions that do not talk.
That is the practical week: this for the tests, Mediterraneo for the hospital, Marousi for anything serious.
And what it is not
It is not a membership clinic and it is not a longevity programme. The one place on this coast attempting that is Notia Medcare, a little further along the same avenue, and it is a different proposition entirely.
